The Stamford Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha PSI and the Stamford Alumni Diamond Foundation honored Pitney Bowes’ Sheryl Battles as “Business Person of the Year,” The distinguished honor also came with a proclamation declaring March 10, 2018 as Sheryl Battles Day.
The Stamford Alumni Chapter Kappa Alpha Society and the Stamford Alumni Diamond Foundation provide critical educational and financial support to deserving high school students recognized Sheryl for her many professional and community achievements.

She lives our values of doing the right thing, the right way, and strives to do her best every day for our company and the community.”
If you’ve never met Sheryl Battles, chances are you have felt the impact of her widespread contributions to Pitney Bowes during her twenty-five year tenure.
An experienced professional, Sheryl leads Pitney Bowes’ global diversity and inclusion strategy, financial communications, corporate thought leadership, and crisis communications.
Sheryl is also very active in her community and serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committees of the Stamford Center for the Arts and the Stamford Partnership. Sheryl is also a member and Co-Chair of the Arthur W. Paige Society’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and President of the Fairfield (CT) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, just to name a few.
Over the years, Sheryl has received numerous professional and community honors, including: 2017 Most Powerful and Influential Women Award from the Tri-State Diversity Council and most recently was named, Most Influential Woman in Global Diversity by Diversity Magazine.
Pitney Bowes has also recognized Sheryl for her exceptional contributions with several awards, including the company’s highest employee honor – the Walter H. Wheeler, Jr. Award. She is a three-time winner of the Pitney Bowes One Standard Excellence Award for outstanding team accomplishments.
