As part ofthe strategic expansion of the Pitney Bowes Parcel Network, we are adding anumber of new nodes to our footprint over the next couple of years. By thesummer of 2019, we expect to have a number of these nodes launched and be inthe middle of planning for the additional nodes to be added in 2019.
Thisinternship will focus on the management of Pitney Bowes’ Private fleet ofvehicles and drivers.
You will betrained to use state-of-the-art tools for monitoring the fleet. You will have an opportunity to work withLogistics Management Systems, Dispatch Systems, and Communication Systems thatconnect the Logistics Center with our nationwide processing facilities, ourTransportation Management Team, and our drivers.
You will be assisting the Logistics Center inmonitoring the progress of our routes, coordinating communication with ourprocessing centers, and managing many outsourced carrier routes.
You will work with our Omaha, NE basedLogistics Center Staff and our nationwide Transportation Team. Our goal is to provide best-in-class serviceto support the Transportation side of the Pitney Bowes e-Commerce business.
As a Logistics Center Intern, you must have:
· Junior or senior (preferred). Student must be currently enrolled in anaccredited University or College.
S Student should have strong interestand aptitude for Transportation or Supply Chain Management.
- Previous Transportation experience is a plus.
- Analytical and creative mind
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
